FAQ: Two Day Events

With such a unique format and layout, we have come across quite a few questions... read below to find out some quick answers to some FAQ's for Two Day Events:
  1. How many times will my team have to compete?

This depends on the number or teams that are in your division. The max number or times that you would perform would be 5 over a two day period. They would perform their seeding and possibly 2 other times on day one, and then no more than a max of 3 times on day two. Most likely (due to the number of registered teams) you would compete 3 times.

  2. What do we need to perform for the Seeding?

There are a number of different stratigies for the seeding. The most common is to perform what you feel will be your strongest 60 seconds. This could be a pyramid sequence, a dance, a jump sequence, or perhaps a tumbling section. It doesn't matter. Remember, this is essentially an extra performance: no music, and everyone must start off of the mat to begin the 60 seconds. The time will be announced, and you will begin. Your cheerleaders don't have to be off the mat at the end.

  3. Are the individuals, duos, and stunt groups set up in the same format?

No. They will perform as they would in any other competition. The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the last stunt group.

  4. When do the individuals, duos, and stunt groups perform?

They will perform following the seeding, prior to the beginning of the tournament. All awards will be handed out prior to the tournament as well. This could be different depending on your location. Make sure and check out each location for details.

  5. What awards will be handed out?

Each participant will receive a special gift. Each team will also receive a trophy. Coaches will also receive a special gift. Champions of the winner's bracket will receive a banner, as well as their trophy. We have also offered Championship long-sleeve t-shirts. Keep checking back to get more info about this!

  6. What other awards are going to be handed out?

The Program Champion: This will be determined by their performances in Round One on Day One of the tournament. The top three scores will be added together, and the program with the highest score will receive a check for $2500. To qualify for te is award you must be a full pre-paying program.

The Sportsmanship Award: This will be decided by the other coaches at the competition based on the gym's overall representation of a quality competitive and sportsman-like program. This gym will be awarded $500.

Top Jumps, Top Stunts, Top Choreography & Dance, Top Tumbling: This will be awarded based on the Day One Round One scores. A plaque will be awarded.
